KARIN, Konstantin


(KARIN, Konstantin. 03/30/1973, Sillamäe, 170 cm / 63 kg) – attacking midfielder. A graduate of Sillamae football (first coach M.V. Mukhin) spent 18 seasons in big football. In 1992, together with his older brother Vyacheslav Karin (03/08/1970), he played for Narva Trans. He spent the 1994/95 season in EP (Jõhvi), after which he returned to Trans, but not for long. In December 1997, he moved to Lantana Tallinn, with whom he became the 1996/97 Estonian champion. From 1998 to 2003 he defended the colors of Trans Narva and won the 2001 Estonian Cup. In 2004, he helped the Tartu “Merkuur” gain a foothold in the Masters League. After that, he returned to his native Sillamäe Kalev, with whom he went from the second league to the Masters League in three seasons. He also played for Kohtla-Järve Lootus in the first league and spent several seasons in the lower leagues of the Estonian championship, passing on his experience to young players. In the Estonian top division from 1992 to 2009, he played 275 matches and scored 41 goals. As part of Lantana and Trans, he participated in European Cup games. After finishing his playing career, he works as a coach at Sillamäe JK DINA, passing on his knowledge to children. Among his students there are already Estonian Champions.
