Medical examination by a sports doctor
Once a year, each athlete must undergo a medical examination.
Athletes playing in the Estonian championship in classes U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14 and U15 can be examined by a family doctor.
Athletes playing in the U16, U17, U17 Eliitliiga and U19 classes must submit a health certificate to the football association.
The health study must contain at least the following information:
ECG at rest;
ECG with exercise on a bicycle ergometer or on a treadmill (performed by a sports medicine doctor);
spirography,
blood test,
study of oxygen consumption.
To pass the inspection, you must book a time, as there may be queues.
What should be done before the examination?
Call and register
Take an identity document with you (passport, student card or ID-card).
Take with you a certificate from the previous examination (if any).
Before undergoing a medical examination, one must be healthy for at least two weeks after the illness.
On the day of the examination, it is not allowed to go to training and avoid heavy loads during the day, as this prevents an objective assessment of the health of the athlete.
To pass the test with a load, you must take with you:
sportswear and clean sports shoes
towel and bathroom accessories
water or sports drink
