Principle: kids learn best through play. Use small formats (1v1, 2v2, 3v3), short blocks (6–10 min),
minimal waiting lines, and clear rules.
1) Possession Game 5v5 (Half Court)
Develop movement to receive, support angles, and calm play under pressure.
- Time: 2–3 rounds × 3–4 minutes
- Progression: points for 6–8 passes in a row

2) 5v5 + Goalkeepers, Three-Zone Game
Teach structure, cover/support, and quick recovery when the ball is lost.
- Time: 3 rounds × 4 minutes
- Rule: support from a neighbouring zone allowed for 3–5 seconds
3) 2v2 and 3v3 — Core Cooperation
Best format for kids: many touches and decisions (width/depth, wall pass, finishing).
- Time: 10–12 minutes in 60–90 sec rounds
- Progression: goal counts only after a pass or after a 1v1 beat
4) Defending 1v2 (Teaching Defensive Basics)
Block passing lanes, guide the attacker, and buy time for teammates to recover.
- Time: 8–10 minutes (rotate roles often)
- Coaching cues: “don’t allow the middle”, “body angle”, “right distance”
5) Shooting: Accuracy + Finishing
First touch to shoot, body position, timing, and choosing the open corner/sector.
- Time: 10 minutes in short series
- Mini-challenge: “hit the sector”, “score after a pass”
Sample Session Structure (60 minutes)
- 10 min — ball warm-up (dribbling/passing + coordination)
- 12 min — 2v2/3v3 (rule: pass → move)
- 12 min — possession 5v5
- 10 min — defending 1v2
- 10 min — shooting & finishing
- 6 min — free game (coach with minimal stops)
Tip: fewer activities, more repetitions, better quality.
